Keyword stuffing is a technique to involves littering numerous repetitions of keyword terms or phrases into a page in order to make it appear more relevant to the search engines. The thought behind this is keywords repetition; but for a while it can increase your ranking in search engines but google treat this as a spamming technique, so don't try this because it's not permanent.

keyword stuffing means the practice of loading a web page keywords in an attempt to manipulate the ranking of your site in search results from Google. pages full of keywords lead to negative user experience, and can harm your ranking . Focus on creating useful, information, content that uses keywords appropriately and in context. To resolve this problem, review your site for improper use of keywords. Usually, these are lists of key words or paragraphs, often randomly.

Keyword stuffing is considered to be an unethical search engine optimization (SEO) technique. Keyword stuffing occurs when a web page is loaded with keywords in the meta tags or in content. The repetition of words in meta tags may explain why many search engines no longer use these tags.

Keyword stuffing had been used in the past to obtain maximum search engine ranking and visibility for particular phrases. This method is completely outdated and adds no value to rankings today. In particular, Google no longer gives good rankings to pages employing this technique.

Hiding text from the visitor is done in many different ways. Text colored to blend with the background, CSS "Z" positioning to place text "behind" an image — and therefore out of view of the visitor — and CSS absolute positioning to have the text positioned far from the page center are all common techniques. By 2005, many invisible text techniques were easily detected by major search engines.

Simply put, it's another way to play shadow / cheat the search engines and is strongly discouraged.

Keyword stuffing is being given more emphasis in today's articles than it really deserves. Giving top superior advice in an appealing manner is going down the drain. SEO will be able to write an article with the keywords anchored in the appropriate places without annoying the reader or alerting the search engines of keyword stuffing that gets an article ignored in ranking.

Keyword stuffing is process to use your targeted keywords many time(more then the keyword density limit) in your web content. For example
You can use 65-70 characters in Title of your web page. If you use your targeted keyword again and again in this space, its called Keyword stuffing.
<title>Keywords, Keywords, Keywords, Keywords..</title>

It is a black hat seo technique. Search engines don't allow to use it.
